Alex began his career at Tullow Oil, where he spent six years involved in all aspects of commercial activity including deal origination, M&A, asset valuation, long-term strategic planning and commercial negotiation. Following this, he spent three years in investment banking, firstly at Spayne Lindsay & Co., a specialist consumer boutique advisory and latterly at Alantra, a global investment banking firm where he reported directly to the senior partners and was involved direct deal origination and financial sponsor coverage with leading small-cap and mid-market private equity firms.

Alex joined VGC Partners in 2020. He has an MA in Business, Economics and Social Studies from Trinity College, Dublin.
